Why graded exercise?
The most common mistake in fibromyalgia is doing a great deal on good days and nothing on bad ones. That boom-and-bust pattern feeds the pain. The core principle is to move by a pre-set, measured dose rather than by how you feel that day.
The starting dose is deliberately low. The aim is not to push hard quickly but to raise safely, over weeks, the load your body can carry. This is where the strongest evidence lies in international guidelines.
